Paul Buckingham BVSc MRCVS

Director

Paul remains passionate about the variety and challenges of mixed practice and providing a high level of veterinary care for all in our rural community. Having come to Kington in 1997 he, together with Wendy, formed an employee owned company in 2013 to ensure that the long term future of Arrowfield Veterinary Practice remained in the hands of all our team.

When not working Paul likes to spend as much time as possible up on the local hills, either walking with his family and two Border terriers, running, riding or cycling. He is also an ordained minister and part of the clergy team for the Kington parishes.

Wendy Phillips BVSc MRCVS

Director

I qualified from Bristol University in 1996 and spent my first few years in mixed practice in Craven Arms, Shropshire. I joined Arrowfield Vets in 2000, initially as holiday cover while my children were young.

Having a farming background, my veterinary interests naturally lie in all aspects of farm animal work. I especially enjoy fertility and reproduction and herd/flock health management and productivity of cattle and sheep.

I am married with 2 children. Outside of Arrowfield, my time is taken up with the children and helping my husband on the farm. After having several successes at the Christmas fat stock shows we have now turned our attentions to our pedigree Limousin herd and breeding show potential calves. We also breed pedigree Texel and Beltex sheep alongside the commercial flock.

I enjoy playing the piano, reading and walking if I have any spare time!
