Arrowfield Veterinary Group has been a long standing Farm Animal Practice which has developed its small animal division. Times have changed in agriculture and the services that AVG offer have moved with the changes.
Our Veterinary staff are all fully equipped to develop Health Care Plans and provide economic asistance in the production of healthy livestock. This expertise covers dairy, beef and sheep production. Many of these topics are covered while providing annual Tuberculin Testing and Premovement Testing.
To assist the economic treatment of farm animals, the Surgery has well designed cattle handling facilities capable of handling several large animals for procedures such as PD, castration and dehorning thus removing thte need for a farm visit (this is noticeable when limited numbers are being attended eg 2 dehorning).
In September 2007, AVG was awarded RCVS Tier 2 status for Farm Animals which confirms and demonstrates the commitment to retain a large animal presence in the area and to respond to the changing climate of Farming. |
